As Jewish health care providers, we care deeply about the well-being of Jews in our community and Jews around the globe.
The Twin Cities Maimonides Society is the place to connect with Jewish healthcare professionals. Through your gift to the Community Campaign and public service opportunities for tikkun olam, you’ll change lives in our community and in Jewish communities around the world.
Our programs vary from glimpses inside the future of healthcare in Minnesota, to intimate conversations with Israeli medical professionals providing humanitarian aid to bordering nations, to a community-wide conference helping families prevent and manage obesity. We also offer a life-changing volunteer experience at Poriyah Government Hospital in northern Israel through our Physicians Exchange Program.
Your job as a healthcare provider is tough. Tzedakah shouldn’t be:
If you are a Jewish healthcare provider, you’re a part of Maimonides, and part of supporting vibrant and inclusive Jewish communities from Minneapolis to Israel and everywhere in between.
Contribute $1,200-$3,599 to the Community Campaign, you’ll be recognized in the Honor Roll. Contribute $3,600 or more to the Campaign, and you’ll be recognized in the Leadership Circle.
To show our appreciation, Honor Roll and Leadership Circle donors are recognized yearly in the Top Doctors issue of Mpls/St. Paul Magazine.

Perhaps the most famous Jewish physician of all time, Rabbi Moses Ben Maimon, also known as either Maimonides or Rambam, was born in Spain in 1135 and died in Egypt in 1204.
Want to dig deeper into the life of Maimonides? Maimonides scholar Dr. Benjamin Gampel of the Jewish Theological Seminary gave the keynote address at Federation-supported “Jewish University for a Day” held at the University of Minnesota. Watch his talk here:
